Voice of Eden, The
Group mind entity, which was formed during the First Federation when the three strata of Edenese society (tweaked humans, virtuals, and guardian angels) linked together to form a single consciousness known as the Voice of Eden. This entity only existed when the various component parts were linked together via data links, and varied in capacity according to the number of individuals participating.
After Eden joined the Solar Dominion individualism was encouraged rather than collectivism, and the Voice of Eden ceased to exist in its original form. However a number of former contributors to the Voice joined together to become a single permanent Transapient Entity, called the Consensus, and this being now takes an active part in the political and religious life of Eden.
