An association of polities and their regulating transapients that first emerged along the NoCoZo - Sophic League border during the later ComEmp and Re-Evaluation periods, as a result of increasing relativistic intermingling between the adjacent sephirotics.
Originally a rather eccentric movement that was little noticed and often ridiculed when it was (a Cyborg monk clutching a credit chip and arguing with Negentropic bureaucrats for permission to set up a Fast Meditation Orbital Chain is a typical caricature) the Free Sophics have in the last few thousand years become more of a force to be reckoned with. They especially were able to benefit in the wake of the chaos caused by the war against the Hyperutilization Supremacy.
